IOT Based Predictive Maintenance of Electrical Machine

Abstract

Machine requires be monitoring and inspecting on a daily basis to ensure for its life and maintenance. Monitoring is a method of observing a machine's operator parameter (vibration, temperature), with the predictive maintenance. The Internet of Things (IoT) is the most effective approach and technology for continuously monitoring of any machine. IoT Sensors enable smart manufacturing facilities capable of autonomously exchanging information, which can be used to drive business decisions more accurately. Businesses that adopt Smart manufacturing techniques lead to a competitive advantage for these firms as they can bring in higher profit margins, reduced maintenance costs, energy savings, and better-quality products. The main objective of this paper is to present how predictive maintenance can be used for prognosis by relying on the vibration based condition monitoring of rotating machinery while recording data in an Industry 4.0 compliant manner.
