Segregation Methodologies For Different Variety Rice Seeds In Rice Harvesting System

Abstract

Generally rice seeds of different qualities are available across the world. They are of various types which differ in shape, size, color and texture. Most of the rice seeds are generally similar in their appearance and hence it is very important to separate the rice seeds of different varieties based on their types. Rice producing industry deals in the segregation of various quality rice seeds. This paper gives the overview of various rice seed segregation methods like Deliberate Hyper spectral imaging, automated machine inspection system, classification using image processing and detectable infrared spectroscopy. These methods are analyzed and their solutions are given based on their characteristics. Thus this paper provides solution using various segregation methods to segregate rice seeds and provide precise rice samples.
