A Survey on Detection of Pancreatic Cancer using Deep Learning Techniques

Abstract

Technology has been playing a significant role in majority of fields, as well as in the field of medicine also, for few decades, especially in identification of the disease. Medical Image Processing has been an emerging area of research for detecting the diseases when the organs of the patient got affected. Cancer has been the awful disease for many decades which affected many parts of the human body causing various types of cancers, such as lung, breast, prostate, pancreatic cancer, etc. In every instance, one or more organs of the body will get affected. If the cancer is detected at earlier stages, the survival rate of the patient is quite high. If it is not identified at earlier stage, the cancer causes death in majority of cases.

With the tremendous evolution of the technology, especially the Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and, Deep Learning (DL), detection of the cancer becoming easier in less time period with accuracy. A deep survey has been done on detecting cancer using Deep Learning (DL) techniques. More emphasis has been given in detecting the Pancreatic cancer in this paper.
