Overview of Improvising Agricultural Yield using Data Mining Techniques

Abstract

Data mining is the method of finding fruitful patterns from large set of data. India is an agricultural based country agriculture plays important role in the Indian economy. Almost 70% of Indian economy is based on agricultural production, due to lack of technical knowledge and the application of only traditional methods, farmers are facing problems in choosing right crop for the available resources like soil, rainfall, temperature and many more . Due to wrong selection of fertilizer, 40% of the yield production has come down. In the present paper it has been discussed about different data mining techniques which helps in predicting yield rate type of crop and fertilizer for the better results.
