Efficiency of Blended Learning in reduction of Anxiety: with special reference to High School Students

Abstract

Anxiety is a negative psychological aspect, mainly seen among students. Anxiety among the students leads them towards failure. Blended learning is a unique concept, after late 60s University of Illinois discovered PLATO (Programmed Logic for Automatic Teaching Operations), which may be sited as a first example of Blended Learning approach initiative. Blending Learning is an approach to education that combines online educational materials and opportunities for interaction online with traditional place based classroom methods. Blended Learning is an emerging topic in modern India. We are going to found if the same is potent or not in reducing anxiety. An online survey was conducted among High School students with Blended Learning Strategies: Role in Fighting Anxiety Questionnaire comprising 10 questions. After getting response from total 56 students, inferences drawn on the basis of analysis of result and found that about 73% student answer that blended learning is helpful in reduction of anxiety of achievement tests.
