Abstract

 Spam SMS is unwanted text messages sent on mobile phones and include commercial advertisements. These messages disrupt mobile phone users and also the risk of financial fraud or malware downloads. We also check if a message contains spam features such as spam keywords, some special characters or URLs, if the keywords found then they compared to datasets and with the help of results we can easily classify the message received is spam or not. Then the accuracy of this scheme is evaluated with a dataset of collected messages. Hence to overcome the above problem we use the concept of text based classification of SMS spam by using the android application for predicting the message which is ham or spam.
