Ford Focus III Power Shift dual clutch transmission reliability research and suggestions for design improvements

Abstract

The results of the research conducted since 2019 at the Department of Automobile and
Process Machinery Service (APMS) of Tyumen Industrial University (TIU) to assess the reliability of
Ford Focus III Power Shift transmission with dual clutches with subsequent development of
recommendations to improve its design and improve measurement accuracy. A lot of work in this
vector has been done by a group of specialists who form competencies related to the restoration of the
technical condition of the rolling stock - repair of vehicles.
