Abstract

Agricultural techniques need to upgrade to tackle food shortage due to drastic increase in population of the world. Also lack of interest in agriculture by the modern generation is an important aspect. The use of upgraded techniques like IoT will bring ease in the field of agriculture which might help modern generation to change their perspective towards farming. By using Iot,it is feasible to easily monitor fields with low-price and low-power consumption devices, also with minimum human interruption.Water is the most important factor in human life, to avoid water scarcity Iotis a robust option to barbrize irrigation systems for managing watersources. LoRa WAN (Long Range Wide Area Network)technologies used in IoT applications to overcome drawbacks like bandwidth, poweretc of differentwirelesstransmission technologies. In cultivation fields, the LoRaWAN(Long RangeWideAreaNetwork) protocol provides advantages like ascendablity, security and durability in designing IoT applications. In the above paper,we are going to represent the smart irrigation system framework which provides soil, temperature and humidity analysis for Indian farmer. This model has a LoRabasedtransmission and receiver mechanism to transmit sensor data like moisture percentages in soil from the sender node to receiving node. The receiver Node, has enabled Wi-Fi that uses services to record the data in Things-peak cloud(IoT platform) and to store thisreadings(data) in database service to fetch the previous data whenever needed.
