Abstract

Human Resource is considered the greatest asset an organization can ever have, and it is the resource a firm needs to achieve competitive advantage. However, human resource management can pose a greater challenge when compared to technology or capital management. Therefore, the organization requires an effective management for an efficient human resource management system. This system requires a back-up from resilient human resource management practices. Many scholars have conducted research to establish the correlation between Human Resource Management (HRM) Interventions and performance of employees in developed countries. However, very few scholars have delved into developing countries like Pakistan, which is in dire need of significant information about human resource. These practices are organizational operations aimed at managing human resource to make sure that all the resources are deployed towards fulfillment of organizational objectives. The aim of this research paper is to explore the effect of human resource management and its interventions such as Training, Development, Coaching, Delegation & Empowerment and Workplace Stress on Competency Based Employee Performance. This study explains why decisions made by human resource management team are likely to influence the organizational performance. A survey research design was adopted to collect data from 305 respondents. The results propose that human resource management practices profoundly effect on Competency Based Employee Performance in Pakistan.
