Attitude of Engineering students of Kabul polytechnic University towards English language learning

Abstract

The present study was investigated to explore the attitude of the learners towards the English
language presently studying in the universities of Afghanistan. The descriptive method was used to
find out the difference between the attitudes of males and females from two different streams of
Afghanistan university students. The sample consisted of 250 university students and the sampling
was embodied from the Boonrangsri, Chuaymankhong, Rermyindee, and Vongchittpinyo’s Attitude
Qyestionnaire Test from 2004. Mean, standard deviation, and t-test were used to investigate the data
through which it was indicatred that in terms of stream, engineering students had a positive attitude
toward English language learning.
