One of the most striking feature of this design is modifying the feeding structure. The proposed rectangular dielectric resonator is of size 50 × 50 × 1.6 mm3 is fed using trapezoidal microstrip feed line formed by joining 17.3 mm triangular patch with a microstrip line. FR4 material is used for substrate with relative permittivity of 4.6. Dielectric material used is ceramic has a high relative permittivity of 30. Rectangular dielectric has dimensions of 20 × 18 × 15 mm3. The simulated results show that the antenna provides a wide impedance bandwidth of 28.10% (2.3 - 3.1 GHz) and can be used for wireless applications. Keywords: Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna, Trapezoidal feed, Microstrip feed, Ultra Wide band.
