There are more than 2 million cases in 2109, and all the developed countries have high rates of patients who have breast cancer and approximately 19.3% death is due to the breast cancer which includes both male and females. Preliminary (prior) detection of these lumps and masses formed during breast cancer is a crucial step to treat breast cancer. Medical imaging is a perfect method for screening and detecting breast cancer. Advanced image processing techniques are needed for a relevant and useful result. By enhancing the image by preprocessing method, segmenting the breast mass using threshold edge detection features of the breast masses are extracted, and many platforms are used to classify the abnormal breast image. This paper gives an overall idea about all these advanced image processing techniques for better and effective result taking consideration of several research papers.</p>}, number={02}, journal={International Journal of Control and Automation}, author={Nikita Agarwal, Kanimozhi S., Subhalaxmi Swain, Sivakumar R.}, year={2020}, month={Jun.}, pages={1447 - 1461} }
