Advance studies in brain- computer interface have made to carry out numerous experiments to recognize human emotions. Emotions play a vital role in decision making and perception of the world around us. Modern technological improvements such as machine learning algorithms and wireless methods of recording signals have enhanced Electroencephalography (EEG) based BCI model. In this paper we discuss articles with respect to various parameters and their results. This survey, reviewed 93 articles and these articles are classified based on the domain. The survey outcome tells that there is good growth in publications of EEG-based emotion detection. It also enhances the research involved in the area. The paper discusses the survey of the research accomplished from 2012 -2019, which provides a broad summary of the work in EEG based emotion recognition.</em></p&gt;}, number={03}, journal={International Journal of Control and Automation}, author={Sujata R.
