It has a history of more than 3500 years . It ispredominantly used in the works of Hinduism, Buddha and Jain philosophy. It is a branch of IndoEuropean family of languages. Right from the Rgveda which is widely regarded to be one of the ancientmost written books the Sanskrit language bears a vast range of literature. Apart from all the poetical orclassical literature there are many works on scientific and technical aspects in Sanskrit language. Theancient Sanskrit literature like the four Vedas, Upanisads and Epic bear the core concepts of Scienceand Technology. Elements of physics, Chemistry, Botany, Aeronautics, Medical Science, Mathematics,Engineering, Environmental Science and so on are profusely found in the texts of Sanskrit. ER -
