Since the building material is very costly due to the demand of the growing populace with the shortage of the materials. It is always a challenge to civil engineers on how to reduce the amount of solid waste and convert it to eco-friendly and advantageous building and construction material. An attempt has been made by the researcher to create an eco-brick using sand ranging from 55% to 65% by weight, plastics ranging from 29% to 39% by weight, 5% crushed glass bottles, and 1% shredded paper. The water absorption test on the different samples revealed that the absorption is less than 15% which means the first-class brick. Moreover, the compressive strength of the bricks surpassed the minimum requirements for the concrete wall. Also, the bricks showed excellent behavior after efflorescence and hardness tests were performed. Thus, this study on creating sand bricks from solid waste material has a great possibility in utilizing as building and construction material and a workable solution in combating the problem on solid waste.</span></em></p&gt;}, number={2}, journal={International Journal of Advanced Science and Technology}, author={Ursua, John Rogel S.}, year={2020}, month={Jan.}, pages={613 - 622} }
