Based on strength reduction theory, inelastic displacement response spectra are</em> <em>calculated by applying strength reduction factor method to the elastic displacement response</em> <em>spectra. The difference of strength reduction factor models is analysed and the inelastic</em> <em>displacement response spectra curves</em><em> calculated from different strength reduction factor models are compared and analysed</em><em>. Study shows that the Vidic-Fajfar model use</em><em>s</em><em> two line</em> <em>sections to simulate the strength reduction factor, not considering the site condition effect,</em> <em>with values</em><em> of the reduction factors</em><em> smaller than other models. Inelastic displacement response spectra from the</em> <em>Vidic-Fajfar model have larger spectra values in small period’s section.
