A major barrier in implementation is the limited range of EVs. Mainly EVs need a large battery capacity to increase the range of the EV. “Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer (DWPT)” is the alternate solution is to charge the vehicle, which can significantly reduce the battery energy storage capacity on the E-vehicles. This dissertation identifies the challenges in the implementation of DWPT for EVs. DWPT can be implemented either with small segmented coils layed on the road or with long tracks on the road. Long tracks have problems of low coupling coefficient, complicated power electronics structure and overall lower efficiency. In comparison to long track DWPT, segmented DWPT has higher Over the years, researchers were concerned on the ways to enhance the system performance, this survey emphasis coil design, compensation topologies, and power electronics converters and control methods are briefly discussed in the present study.

Keywords: Coil design, Coil materials, Compensation networks, Power electronic converter, Wireless power transfer.</p>}, number={04}, journal={International Journal of Advanced Science and Technology}, author={Manoj.D, Dr.F.T.Josh}, year={2020}, month={Jun.}, pages={5510 - 5517} }
