Abstract

This research will analyze the effect of household characteristics, demography, land use and transportation system on commuter movement In Medan, Binjai, Deli Serdang And Karo (Mebidangro) Area. By Using the SmartPLS, it was found that all constructs had composite reliability values above 0.70 and Cronbach's alpha above 0.70. So it can be concluded that the construct has good reliability. Construct variables with the highest reliability values are land use, followed by transportation systems, commuter movements, household characteristics and demographics. The test results of the measurement model using reflective indicators, all indicators have a loading factor above 0.7. Based on the results of the goodness of fit test, the R-Square value for each land use construct variable was 75.7%, the transportation system was 71.7% and the commuter movement was 71.6%. Based on the results of path coeffisient, it can be concluded that Demographics have a positive and significant effect on land use, commuter movement and transportation system. Land Use has a positive and significant effect on commuting movements, and transportasion system. Household characteristics have a positive and significant effect on land use, commuting movement and transportation system, and The transportation system has a positive and significant effect on commuting movements,
