DEMOGRAPHIC VARIABLES INFLUENCING FINANCIAL INVESTMENT OF URBAN INDIVIDUALS: A CASE STUDY OF SELECTED DISTRICTS OF MAHARASHTRA STATE

Abstract

            The present research paper is about the financial investment of urban individuals. The objective is to study the relationship among various demographic variables and financial investment of urban individuals. The data is collected through structured questionnaire distributed to 405 samples from urban areas of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane of Maharashtra state and adjoining suburban and having household income of more than 5 lakhs per annum. Financial investment is broadly divided into growth oriented investment, debt oriented instruments, insurance policy and any kind of financial obligation.
