What Makes Generation Y Stay in Organizations?

Abstract

This research primarily focuses on determining the motivation level among Generation Y. With changes in the workforce, a new approach in understanding the workforce is needed. This is to ensure the leader’s strategy will be compatible with the workforce. The research concentrated on Generation Y, between the age of 18 and 32, who are working in the private sector across Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. A cross-sectional quantity approach for the analysis of data collected was employed in this study together with correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, as well as factor analysis. The analysis of the data was tested using SPSS software. The finding from this study will be useful for a leader to produce more appropriate strategies and provide a remuneration package.
