Determining Crop to Be Planted In a Particular Region for Maximum Yield

Abstract

 Data analysis is the most powerful part of research work in any department. Data Mining has become a very important part in the research work comprising the Yield Prediction of Crop. There are various principles and methods such as K-Nearest Neighbour (KNN), k-means clustering and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) that can be imposed for analysis purpose in area of agriculture. In this paper, we are considering the problem of determining the crop that can give the maximum yield in given climatic conditions. Prediction of crop that can give the maximum yield has been a problem that still remains unsolved in the department of data mining bases on the available data. This issue can be solved with help of data mining techniques. The objective of this work is to implement k-means clustering algorithm in order for prediction the crop that can give a higher yield in available climatic conditions.
