Identification of Plants with their Medicinal Uses by Convolutional Neural Network

Abstract

Many plants are used as medicinal plants in herbal medicine for various purposes. For medicinal purposes, several herbals are used. Our ancestors used plants as medicine for several years. The Parts of a plant like flowers, leaves, seeds and roots are also used for medicinal uses. But, it is a difficult process for a botanist and pharmaceutical companies to identify the correct medicinal plants. Hence, the work is done to classify the correct medicinal plants from the images of the plants. A set of images is considered as a training dataset. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) in this paper classifies the medicinal plants and to convey their respective medicinal uses
