Development of Incentive and Disincentive Patterns of Housing in Makassar Suburban Areas

Abstract

The housing development in the suburbs of Makasar city still needs the support of the government policy to eliminate current obstacles. The policies governing the provision of incentives and disincentives for the oingoing housing development have not been systematically compiled in a comprehensive manner and have not been optimally implemented to have the expected impacts on supporting the housing development in the suburbs of Makassar City. For this reason, policiies are needed to provide convenience and relief. The policies are also needed to encourage the implementation of housing development in the outskirts of Makassar in incentive and disincentive patterns. The proposed concept of incentive and disincentive patterns for the housing development regulates matters, which include 1) Explanation of the purpose of providing incentives and disincentives; 2) A description of incentive and disincentive patterns; and 3) Explanation regarding the mechanism for providing incentives and disincentives including the schedule for providing the incentives and disincentives.
