The Effects Of Technology, Environment On The Interests Of Using, And Use, and Their Impact On Individual Careers

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effects of technology, environment on the interests of using, and use, and their impact on individual careers. This research employs a quantitative approach. An online survey method using structured questionnaires is undertaken. A total of 74 lecturers across faculties in Universitas Brawijaya who have used SIADO (Lecturer Information System) completed the questionnaires and statistically analysed using Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA). The respondents were choosen using simple random sampling technique. Technological variable affects the interest of lecturers to use SIADO significantly, the environmental variable has no significant effect on the interest variable using HRIS, technological variables significantly influence the use of HRIS by lecturers, interest variables significantly affect the SIADO usage variables, variables of technology have no significant effect on individual career variables. This is one of the first studies that has examined the operation and effectiveness of HRIS in an Indonesian higher education context.
