Process Innovativeness and Continuous Improvement: Anthropometric Analysis Study at Standing Assembly Line Workstation
Abstract
In quality management, gemba visit related to the problems occur on the production floor and how the engineering team resolve those problems by arranging a line walk inviting all the engineering team members to share the ideas and input to prevent re-occurrence and perform improvement. In manufacturing company, there are 3 cells in the production area whereas each cells there is an assembly workstation which require the operator or assembler to stand for a longer period of time to perform their task. Operator tends to complaint about long hours standing for the whole shift (8 and half hours) and some of the operator need to support for two workstations in one assembly line.
