Optimal Stack Configuration for Piezoelectric Power Generation
Abstract
This paper proposes the advanced optimal configuration for the piezoelectric tile model of energy production. The piezoelectric transducer (PZT) is a ceramic perovskite material that shows a marked piezoelectric effect which produces electric output when mechanical pressure is applied. These PZT are analyzed over different configuration and resulted optimum configuration is presented to meet the demands of several light load applications. The Series-parallel combination is identified as the efficient configuration and is proved to produce more power as compared to the existing models. A new stack configuration is also implemented for greater and consistent output voltage.
