Abstract

The choice of car type is often a difficulty for users in determining which car is suitable. The selection of this car can be helped by using a decision support system because the problem that often occurs is that it is not easy to determine the right car for the user. Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is a good method that can be used to provide recommendations for the type of car that can be chosen by someone. There are four criteria used in this research to help SAW in calculating and providing alternatives. These criteria are Fuel, Load Acceleration, and Price. The results obtained from the SAW calculation are very good because each alternative has its preference results that can be used as a variation of recommendations.
