Abstract

Computed Tomography (CT) image contains conflicting regions similar surrounding to Pulmonary and different vertebrates. The purpose of the Pulmonary division removal step is to exfoliate the Pulmonary division from ROI, in the adjoining diagnosis. The anticipated process to exfoliate the pulmonary region initiated by applying the bit-plane slicing algorithm. The finalized binary slices are then examined to select the best bit-plane image that may help in exfoliate the Pulmonary divisions from the raw CT-image data with a definite level of precision and accuracy. To refine the chosen bit-plane image, other techniques were used for different purposes in a sequence of steps. Erosion, median filter and dilation steps is to remove the irrelevant features that may include additional difficulties to the lung border extraction process. The defining step aims to extract the structure’s regions. The lung border extraction step aims at defining lung regions.
