Abstract

Reverse engineering is the process by which a man-made product is deconstructed to reveal its designs, architecture, or to extract knowledge from the object. It is the process of forward engineering in reverse. In this, the information is collected from the given or existing competitors automatic transfer switch which is trending in the market.Forward engineering is the precursor technique of reverse engineering for the physical implementation of a system. Automatic transfer switch (ATS) is one of the critical components in standby power system. The main limitations of this forward engineering in ATS are designing the specific requirements is complicated and it takes more time as well as it need proficiency skills. In order to avoid above problems, Reverse engineering in automatic transfer switch is proposed. is to test the automatic transfer switch based on its IEC standard and to analyze the operating characteristics.
