CLDH: An Optimization of Handover Procedure in Vehicle Communication
Abstract
The handover procedure in vehicular communication become an emerging issues that causes many problems like delay or loss of signal or even cut the communication. This paper discuss a new optimization handover procedure to reduce the problem during handover of vehicle especially with the high speeds. Therefore, a cross-layer design for handover (CLDH) of transport layer protocol with an algorithm in data-link layer were suggested to adapt a vehicle speed and handover procedure to reduce the delay time. The result clearly shows that the optimization design can achieve a minimum delay time of handover in any value of vehicle speed.
