Abstract

In current scenario vehicle safety and security is a major issue because of increasing thefts and road accidents. Also, a most common problem is misplacing or losing the keys. So, in this paper we proposed an advance system to prevent vehicle from thefts. This system provides a fingerprint security to unlock the vehicle. Fingerprints of the authorized user is first scanned and stored in flash memory of the sensor. If there is a match found with the stored fingerprints then the controller activates the powering circuit and the engine starts else if someone tries to start the car it will send the alert message to the owner. If there will be any unauthorized access then the user will be notified in its registered mobile number. Along with that if the vehicle moves from its position, an alert message will be sends to the authorized user along with the GPS location of that vehicle. This system is programmed by using Arduino Uno. The GPS, GSM, PIR and Fingerprint Sensor is additionally associated with the board. MEMS Sensor is used in order to provide a safety aspect to the system and helps to save the victims form the road accidents.
