Abstract

Automated Teller Machine (ATM) has been the primary source through which people withdraw cash for their use. The transactions that people perform through the ATM should be secured and the details should be confidential. The purpose of the project is to secure Automated Teller Machine (ATM) transactions from fraudulent activities by authenticating the users based on facial recognition. Face recognition is done by capturing the face of the account holder and beneficiaries in a well-lit condition and storing it in a central server. A camera is placed in the ATM machine at an appropriate place so that it can take the photo of the person who is currently using it. The system recognizes the face of the card holder to that of the account holder and beneficiaries and it proceeds further to PIN Validation.
