Abstract

The problem of web service composition towards the service and user requirements of SOA (Service Orient Architecture) has been well studied. Numerous techniques are discussed in literature which composes services based on various parameters like popularity. However, the methods suffer to achieve higher performance in quality of service of SOA. To improve the performance, an efficient QoS specific dynamic web service composition algorithm is presented which uses feedback obtained from the users. The proposed QOS-IEF (QoS Implicit-Explicit-Feedback) approach maintains the access log of web services and users. Using the access log, the method estimates QoS values on each services in throughput, success rate, latency, and service bonding parameters. Using all these measures, the method estimates the service quality support measure (SQSM), which has been used to rank the services. Ranked services are populated for the user which has been allowed to select by the user. On the other side, the method collects the feedback from the user in terms of both implicit and explicit way, which has been used to measure the user feedback support (UFS) which is used to select the service and compose them to form a single service. The proposed approach improves the performance of web service selection and composition to meet the requirement of SOA and improves the performance of services.
