Abstract

The idea of PVT systems is numerous decades old. Yet at the same time, the innovation isn't abundantly popularized. There are some survey papers accessible in the writing depicting the diverse parts of PVT systems like thermal collectors, PV cells and cooling techniques. Within the scope of this paper, a comprehensive review on heat removal mechanisms is proposed. The review is presented in a thematic way. Definition of technology is followed by historical overview of the technology and its current research scenario. The point of the present article is to show an expansive grouping of different cooling techniques that can be utilized in PVT systems. It describes recent development of heat removal technologies like spectral beam  splitting and waste heat removal(WHR) technologies like phase change materials, heat pipes, air based, water based , micro-channel cooling and emerging cooling technologies like EDF, vortex shredding and ORC.
