Abstract

In recent times, there is a drastic improvement in technology. The current generation is more dependent on technology and their bond towards technology is one of the reasons for advancements. New generation technology involves Tech along with the Internet of things (IoT). IoT is widely used to store information securely, manipulate the data, retrieve the data over the internet. This paper concentrates on combining air conditioners with the IoT to create a smart AC which is efficient in power management. The main aim of the paper is to provide a cost-efficient and health-conscious smart ac. A smart AC is one that maintains the room at an optimum temperature and also provides health and wellness features for its users. To achieve this, we have used multiple sensors such as Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) thermistor, Digital Hygrometer, and Air Quality Sensor. Raspberry pi is a microcomputer which is connected to all these sensors, collects the readings and processes it accordingly. The Raspberry pi stores its data securely in a cloud server with the help of the internet. Based on the readings received from sensors, the server takes a decision. The decision taken by the server is sent to the raspberry pi, which will control the air conditioner, humidifier, and air ionizer.
