Abstract

The quality of construction not only depends upon the quality of materials, but also on the quality of supervision, design considerations, internal and external management quality factors. The successful completion of any project depends mainly on the internal and external quality aspects. The studies showed that the ISO implication leads to quality construction and successful completion of project in time. Hence it is needed to identify the extent of impact of ISO on the positive aspects of construction and to rank the factors which affect the quality of construction. The questionnaires are prepared concentrating on the core objectives. The questionnaires are distributed among the project managers/ engineers of different construction firms. The responses are collected and tested by ANOVA method. The internal and external quality aspects are ranked for their importance. The results showed that the external benefits are easily achieved on ISO certification, whereas the time plays a vital role in internal quality aspects.
