Irrigation and Water Level Observation Using Iot in Agriculture

Abstract

The rising population compels the higher production in agriculture for the provision of food. Meanwhile, the depletion of natural resources, unpredictable power supply, scarcity of water and the limited area with healthy soil for farming, demands a need for upcoming technologies combining with the traditional farming methodologies hence providing an efficient production of food preventing food scarcity. It serves by reducing the man to machine communication and instead makes machine to machine communication thus helping to build a smart self-operating system.  In this paper, the reading from different sensors in the agricultural field is noted and calculates the amount of water required by field. through an irrigation system the water is being provided to the field. This smart agricultural field helps the productivity of crops and operational efficiency.
