Circular Monopole with Star Shaped Etched Antenna for PCS, UMTS and WIFI Applications

Abstract

In the proposed paper, monopole antenna is designed using concentric circles, there by etching off with star patch and then by etching off with union of two circles from the patch. The proposed shapes have been designed using FR4 material as a substrate. Out of the proposed designs the design with 2^nd iteration has return loss of -25.07, gain is 4.73 and VSWR value of 1.11803 at 2.1GHz.The proposed second order microstrip patch antenna is having applications like PCS, UMTS AND WIFI. The proposed paper contains the results of parameters of antenna like return loss, gain and VSWR.
