Abstract

In this paper, a triple notch band MIMO (Multi-input Multi-output) antenna with a compact design is proposed which works at Maritime radio navigation, Wi-MAX, and WLAN communication applications. This proposed MIMO antenna has a compact size of 20x40 mm and fabricated on Flame Retardant-4 (FR-4) substrate with the thickness (1.6 mm), dielectric constant (4.4) and loss tangent (0.02). The MIMO antenna with a tapered microstrip fed slot makes to work the dual radiating element as a united one with L-Shaped inverted slots. The antenna resonates at the operating bands of 3.0GHz (Maritime radio navigation, 3.5 GHz (Wi-MAX), 6.2 GHz (Fixed satellite applications). The efficiency of the proposed antenna (MIMO) is analyzed in the form of radiation patterns, Reflection coefficient, efficiency, gain, and axial ratios in circular polarization.
