Optimization of a Slotted Fractal Antenna using LAPO Technique

Abstract

A slotted fractal antenna has been designed and simulated in the paper. Further, its dimensions have been optimized using a recent technique called Lightning Attachment Procedure Optimization (LAPO). The optimized antenna is found to have the enhanced (optimized) bandwidth than the actual design. At last, the current distribution, radiation pattern and gain of the optimized antenna are analyzed.
