Abstract

This study is to identify the traceability and relation of competency standards, Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) in industry, as well as the development of instructional and curriculum designs, to strengthen the link and match between education and industry. This study uses Case Study research approach. The result of this study identified a model interface between industry SOPs, competency standards, curriculum development design and assessment, both components and structures that can ensure the implementation of technical links and matches between them. The limitation of this study lies on its scope of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET). With the interface model between two or more systems (industry, competency standard`, curriculum and assessment) will provide an overview and internalization of how systems "communicate" by allowing principles, concepts, theories and information to flow between them. The result may not be applicable in non-vocational education.
