THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING THE CONSTRUCTIVISM METHOD IN LEARNING TO WRITE POETRY

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of constructivism methods in learning to write poetry texts. To provide an assessment in writing student poetry, the researcher determines aspects that are assessed including the accuracy of the title with the theme, proverbs, diction, rhythm, rhyme, and imagination. This research is a quasi-experimental type of research. Data collection techniques used were through tests and non-tests (observation and interviews). Quantitative data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis and presented in the form of a percentage. This research hypothesis is an effective constructivism method in learning to write poetry texts. To measure the effectiveness of this constructivism learning method, it refers to the category of interpretation of the effectiveness of N-Gain. Based on the acquisition of the average value on the final test that is 80.4 shows that a large of 76, then based on the interpretation category of the effectiveness of N-Gain, it can be concluded that the use of constructivism methods is effective in learning to write poetry texts.
