Abstract

Analyzing the statistics of road traffic violations in India, it can be concluded that the creation of automatic detection systems for traffic violations on unregulated crosswalks is necessary to improve safety on the roads of the country. Therefore, the development of a system for fixing traffic violations on unregulated crosswalks is urgent and will be in demand. The literature here is mainly focused on vehicle detection, helmet classification, crosswalk violation at signals and number plate recognition. Some concepts that can be used to detect the violations are object detection, image classification, image segmentation, convolutional neural networks, computer vision, and deep learning. This paper summarizes the different methods for building an automatic detection of traffic violations system.
