FEMALE LABOUR IN ASSAM

Abstract

Till date due to patriarchal rules and superstitions women are not able to achieve the same as their male counterparts in the job sphere. Women’s progress have been stagnant in various fields in the society. Even if from a bird’s eye view it is seen that women are involved in some fragments of the society but actually there are still a lot of women labor in Assam. Although from economical and social standpoint the number of working women is increasing at a desired rate, the same is not seen in terms of change in the quality of work.
