A review of prisoner’s dilemma: decision making process

Abstract

The Prisoner’s Dilemma is a common method to study what factors may affect people’s decision making. In order to analyze the different factors which can influence the results of the Prisoner’s Dilemma. This article is based on the studies which the previous researchers have made. Moreover, the author of this article divided those studies into three aspects (Gender, Working Memory, and Culture and Religion) and three different theories (Reinforcement Theory, Culture Norm Theory, and Social Comparison Theory). This article discovers that Gender, Working Memory, and Culture and Religion all can impact the decision-making process in the Prisoner’s dilemma. Furthermore, those three theories are the potential factors that can affect the dilemma. In addition, the author also provides some advice in the future study.
