Abstract

The government adopted a policy to temporarily stop sending female domestic workers abroad. This was done after seeing the negative impact arising from the existence of these domestic female workers. There are acts of discrimination, torture, rape, and unpaid salaries. Economically, sending workers abroad can indeed increase the country's division, in addition to increasing the economic level of the workers themselves. Even legally, they are protected to be able to work and earn a better living. But sadly, sociologically on the field is not the misfortune gained, but the sadness and suffering that befell the female workforce. This is certainly a psychological impact for these women. This study uses qualitative research with a literature approach. The results showed that the sending of female domestic workers had to be stopped because it could cause negative things that could harm the female workers themselves, as well as the sovereignty of the Indonesian state.
