DEVELOPMENT OF ANDROID APP FOR AIR POLLUTION MONITORING USING FOG COMPUTING

Abstract

The contamination of the natural air by mixing it with different pollutants such as harmful fumes and chemicals is the present situation. This type of contamination is caused by burning material or by gases emitted by vehicles or harmful fumes emitted as a by-product of industries. Global warming is one in every of the world largest aspects effects of pollution as per the consultants. People ought to understand the extent to that their activities have an effect on air quality. This project proposes associate pollution observance system. The air pollution monitoring system is designed to monitor and analyse air quality in real-time. To overcome the problems of existing systems, a three-phase air pollution monitoring system is proposed. An IOT framework is formed using gas sensors, Raspberry pi 3.This kit can be physically placed in various cities to monitoring air pollution. The gas sensors gather data from air and forward the data to the Raspberry pi. The raspberry pi to transmit the data on cloud computing using in build Wi-Fi module. The cloud will store the data. The fog computing to get the data from cloud computing. Also developed an Android application. User can use this application to get the data from fog computing.
