Abstract

Air pollution from Spark Ignition engine automobiles has become a curse for human beings and the environment due to the lack of concrete pollution control techniques and also due to laxity in proper implementation of pollution abatement approaches. The paper focuses on the pollution caused by the Spark Ignition based automobiles and proposes an experimental approach to prevent the pollution in the environment. It is a known fact that the emission from Spark Ignition based automobiles has become a cause of serious concern because of their presence on roads in huge numbers. The paper brings forth the use of Nanotechnology against this problem as it has become a go-to technology in various areas mainly due to unique properties possessed by nanoparticles. The positive features of nano-technology can be implemented for pollution prevention from Spark Ignition based automobiles. In this research work, analysis of air pollution from Spark Ignition engine automobiles is presented. An experimental approach for control of exhaust emissions from Four Stroke Spark Ignition engine test rig using Copper nanoparticles coated on a Catalytic Converter is proposed
