Abstract

The relationships between the Environment and economic diagnostic by empirical analysis between the total of carbon dioxide emissions (Mt) and Gross domestic production (GDP) per capita. Environment Kuznets Curve (EKC) model. The results have shown the EKC for Iraq was validated and it was one of the best way in order to define and detected the relationship between the environmental pollution and economic growth. Ordinary Least Square method (OLS) used to test EKC shaped it was the best methods, regression models for realizing the relationship between GDP per capita and total carbon dioxide (CO2) emission in Iraq, the relationship takes inverted U shaped. The ratio of carbon dioxide emissions concentrations increased more than five times after the year 2000 compared to before it, the most of CO2 emission concentrated when value of GDP was (3000$), the value of residual (error term) it was distributed normal N (0,1) , and there is clear increasing in CO2 emission and GDP values with time, this increase leads to damage environment.
