Data Leakage Detection of Transformed Data in Intra Mailing System
Abstract
Data leakage is rising threat that damages the information security of an individuals or an organizations privacy. A huge techniques has been built and adopted to solve the problems of data leakage. Data leakage is nothing but the threat that is caused by the internal person of the organization who intentionally or unintentionally leaks the data to an unauthorized person. To overcome such kind of problems Adaptive Weighted Sensitive Data Detection Algorithm (AWSDA) is proposed using which leakage of data through intra-mailing system can be prevented. Proposed approach is designed in three steps: i) A database with sensitive keywords is created assigning it with respective weights according to its priority. And also create a backup database to store the related words of the root keywords under one label to detect the transformed data. ii)MD5 algorithm is used to encrypt all the keywords to its 128bit hash value and store in the database. Finally, when a sensitive file is sent it is detected through AWSDA model with the reference of database and will be blocked. Experimental results show that the proposed method can detect leaks of transformed or fresh data fast and efficiently
